Constant Support & Comfort

“Leah was my doula for the birth of my second child. The week before, I could no longer walk on my own due to severe pelvic pain. Leah came with me and my husband to my last appointments and she supported us with every decision we made for my care leading up to our son's birth. She helped me in and out of bed, get dressed & undressed, and literally helped me walk to the car. She was with me for over 24 hrs of labor and was a constant support and comfort for my husband and me. She taught me to inhale 'courage' and exhale 'peace' and that carried me thru several hours of labor. She applied counter pressure on my back and hips, massaged me to help me relax, refilled my water bottle more times than I can count, and often reminded me that I was safe and I was doing a good job. She breathed and moaned with me when contractions got very intense and she held me in the car as my husband drove us to the hospital. Because we had Leah, my husband was able to really rest at home and at the hospital as I labored since he was up all night the night before. I don't know what we would have done without her”
